A Somali suicide bomber blew himself up outside the presidential palace in Mogadishu on Monday, reports Reuters.
The bomber, armed with an automatic rifle, jumped onto an African Union armored vehicle entering the palace grounds, police said.
When A.U. peacekeepers fired on the bomber, he threw a grenade at them and then detonated his explosives, wounding two soldiers.
The bomber was identified as a former Interior Ministry security guard who defected to the Al-Shabaab...
