Swedish defense firm Saab has awarded Exelis in the U.S. a deal for electronic warfare systems for the Swedish navy's submarines, reports the company, which is headquartered in McLean, Va.
The $17 million subcontract covers the latest version of the ES-3701 electronic warfare system, which provides improved situational awareness, targeting, self-protection and surveillance capabilities.
