Submarine Transfer From Russia Now Due In March

Russia will transfer the a nuclear attack submarine to India on a 10-year lease in March 2011, says a regional governor cited by RIA Novosti.
Moscow and New Delhi drew up the $900-million lease contract for the Nerpa, an Akula II-class sub, in January 2004. India agreed to fund part of the Nerpa's construction.
The governor of the Far East Khabarovsk declared the boat ready on Thursday, reported India's Economic Times.
