Sub Refit Nears Completion, Novomoskovsk Back In Service By August

The Zvezdochka shipyard in Severodvinsk is wrapping up a maintenance and modernization program for a Russian navy submarine, reports Interfax-AVN.

The Novomoskovsk will be re-delivered to the navy by August, said an unnamed defense industry source.

More than 100 sub systems, including missiles, have reportedly been improved, and the refit has also extended the submarine's service life by a decade, the source said.
