An Indian submarine officer drowned in an accident on Monday off India's west coast while trying to rescue a seaman, reports the Indian Express.
Lt. Cmdr. Firdaus Mogal, the executive officer aboard INS Shankush, was leading a team of five officers and sailors attempting to rescue a member of the maintenance crew who had fallen overboard, when he was swept off the boat, officials said.
