Study Finds Deficiencies In Aegis Radar Systems

An independent study on Navy surface fleet readiness says Aegis radar systems are in poor condition, the Navy Times reports.

Deficiencies in training, impenetrable bureaucracy and cultural resignation have caused an increase in technical problems and a drop in operational performance for the Aegis, says a fleet review panel.

Finding the high-profile Aegis in such poor shape, the panel also expressed concern over equipment with a lower priority.
