Stronger Strykers Set For Production, Testing

The Dept. of Defense has authorized the Army to spend up to $99 million to produce Stryker infantry combat vehicles with a hull designed to better protect against roadside bombs in Afghanistan, the Army Times reports.

Top Pentagon acquisition executive Ashton Carter reportedly released the funds this month for the purchase of early order material for 330 vehicles.
