Violent protests against the military coup in Burkina Faso have left at least three people dead and 60 injured, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).

Widespread demonstrations were held on Thursday after the presidential guard declared it controlled the country and installed a general as the head of state. Soldiers reportedly fired warning shots to disperse crowds.
