Much of the fleet of the Chadian air force was badly damaged or destroyed in a powerful storm over the weekend, say officials cited by DefenceWeb (South Africa).
The storm hit the Chadian capital of N'Djamena on July 1 with torrential rain and strong winds, destroying hangars and buildings at the airport, along with aircraft.
At least three AS 350/AS 550C Fennec helicopters were seriously damaged, with tail booms ripped off and rotor blades destroyed, according to photos...
