Steel Cut For Another Amphibious Ship

Spanish shipbuilder Navantia has just started the construction of Australia's second landing helicopter dock at its facility in Ferrol, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.

Steel for the Canberra-class ship was cut on Feb. 2, about seven weeks ahead of schedule, said Greg Combet, Australia's defense minister for personnel, materiel and science.
