State's Top Cyber Official About To Leave

The top cyber official at the U.S. State Dept. is leaving his post at the end of July, reports the Hill (Washington, D.C.).

Chris Painter was appointed the department's coordinator for cyber issues in 2011.

The news was first reported by Politico and confirmed by a State Dept. official on Monday afternoon.
