North Korean state media has confirmed that there is a new defense minister in Pyongyang, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Saturday reported that four-star army Gen. Pak Yong Sik attended bilateral talks with Laos in Pyongyang on Saturday as the head of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the position equivalent to defense minister.
