State Of Emergency Ends, Talks Promised

The monarchy of Bahrain has ended an 11-week state of emergency, the Washington Post reports.
The emergency was declared in March in an effort to end anti-government protests.
Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa also called for talks on political reforms and said the government sought to "fairly balance out the need to maintain law and order with the desire for freedoms."
