The Lithuanian navy has commissioned a new patrol ship purchased from Denmark, reports the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense.
The Selis (P-15) was christened and commissioned into service during a ceremony on Jan. 11 in Klaipeda.
The former Danish Flyvefisken-class ship will replace the Dzukas-class patrol vessel, also named Selis. The ship was bought from the Danish Defense Acquisition and Logistics Organization in September 2016, noted NavalToday.com.
