Squadron Commander Loses Job Over Death During Training Exercise

The U.S. Air Force has relieved from duty a squadron commander at Fort Bragg, N.C., reports the Fayetteville Observer (N.C.).
Col. Elizabeth Shaw was removed from command of the 43rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron on Thursday after a "loss of confidence in her ability to command" based on an investigation into a training death in July.
A non-commissioned officer was run over by a Humvee and killed while playing the part of a hostage during a readiness exercise.
