Russia's military reform has resulted in individual Spetsnaz brigades becoming directly subordinated to military district commanders, Interfax-AVN reports.
The special operations forces have separate brigades in every military district and battalions in several formations deployed in the Southern Federal District, said Col. Vladimir Marusinm, the deputy chief of the army staff.
