Special Ops Personnel Begin Efforts Against Boko Haram

The Nigerian military says it has deployed nearly 500 newly trained special operators to fight the Boko Haram militant group in the northeastern part of the country, reports the Daily Trust (Abuja).

The unit, which reportedly has army, air force, navy and police personnel, completed special operations forces training before being deployed, said an army spokesman.
