A U.S. Army Special Forces soldier has been killed during combat operations in Afghanistan’s northern Faryab Province, reports the Dept. of Defense. Sgt. Maj. James Sartor, 40, died on July 13 of injuries sustained from hostile small-arms fire, the Pentagon said. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Carson, Colo.
