Special Ops Contingent Heads To U.A.E. On Extended Training Mission

The South Korean army has just dispatched a contingent of combat troops to the United Arab Emirates for a two-year mission, reports the Korea Herald.

The 130-strong unit, dubbed "Akh," or "brothers" in Arabic, will help train special operations forces in the U.A.E.

The U.A.E. requested the training last August and it was approved by the South Korean legislature in December.
