Senegalese rebels have killed six government troops in an ambush near Senegal's southern border with Guinea-Bissau, reports the Voice of America News.
Three other soldiers were wounded in the attack late last week in the Niagha district.
The attack was believed to have been carried out by fighters from the Casamance Movement of Democratic Forces (MFDC). Rebels have recently been stepping up attacks in the region.
