At least 10 Afghan troops have been killed in what is being called an "insider attack," reports Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
On Tuesday morning, an Afghan soldier allowed insurgents inside a checkpoint in the Qush Tepa district of Jawzjan province to kill his colleagues, said local officials.
The Canadian Press said the soldier and the militants then fled the scene. An earlier account reported the man behind the attack and insurgents were killed.
