A British solar-powered unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) broke three world records in a recent test flight in the U.S., Defense News reports.
The British defense research contractor Qinetiq said the Zephyr UAV reached an altitude of 70,740 feet and flew for 336 hours, 22 minutes at the U.S. Army's Yuma Proving Ground, Ariz.
Company officials claimed records for the maximum altitude and flight duration for a UAV in that weight class, as well as the absolute duration record. ...
