SOCOM Calls For More Carl Gustaf Recoilless Rifles

The U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) ordered additional Carl Gustaf man-portable weapon systems and ammunition from Saab AB, reports the Swedish defense firm.

The US$25.8 million order has a delivery date of July 2013.

The contract is a follow-on order by SOCOM, which already uses the M3 version of the 84-mm weapon, said Saab officials.
