The commander of the air force says more than half of Honduran military aircraft are out of service, reports Honduras Weekly.
Five of the nation's nine F-5 fighters need repairs and all of the T-27 Tucano trainer/light attack aircraft require modernization, said Gen. Ruiz Pastor Landa, the air force chief.
The Tucano upgrading would cost about US$10 million, said the general.
