Hundreds of Taliban militants have attacked a Pakistani border checkpost for a second day near the Afghan border, reports the Dawn (Pakistan).
Police said that at least 28 security officers, six civilians and 45 militants were killed Thursday in Upper Dir, near Afghanistan's Kunar province.
More than 500 militants, including Afghan Taliban and Pakistani Taliban, were involved in the fighting at the Shaltalu checkpoint, said officials.
