Ship Owners Ransom Hijacked Ship

Somali pirates released a Turkish vessel after three months when the ship's owners in Istanbul paid a ransom, RIA Novosti reports.
The Horizon-1 bulk carrier and its crew of 23 Turks were hijacked in the Gulf of Aden on July 8.
The vessel, en route from Jordan to Saudi Arabia, was carrying a cargo of sulfate.
The amount of the ransom was unrevealed. Earlier published reports indicated that a sum of between US$1.5 and US$2 million was being negotiated.
