Ship Insurers Plan Private Anti-Piracy Navy

Several shipping groups are considering setting up a private navy to help protect vessels from Somali pirates, reports the Independent (U.K.).

The new force, which has been agreed to in principle by a number of shipping groups and is being considered by the British government, is the latest anti-piracy effort planned for the region.
