The Iraqi government has begun training Sunni militiamen in the nation's western Anbar province as part of a U.S.-backed effort to push back the Islamic State terrorist group that has gained control of much of the province, reports the Wall Street Journal.
More Iraqis recognize that the gains made by the militant group in the region prove why trusted Sunni fighters are needed to help battle ISIS and eliminate the pool of potential recruits.
