In Shift, White House OKs Sale Of Lethal Arms Sales To Ukraine

Reversing the Obama administration's stance, the Trump White House has approved the commercial sale of lethal defensive weapons to Ukraine, reports the Washington Post.

The U.S. State Dept. earlier this month approved a commercial license authorizing the export of Model M107A1 Sniper Systems. The deal was estimated at US$41.5.

The sale of heavier weapons, long-sought by the Ukrainian government, has not been approved.
