Shelton Assumes Leadership Mantle At Air Force Space Command

The Air Force Space Command has a new chief.

Gen. William Shelton succeeded Gen. Robert Kehler at a change of command ceremony on Wednesday, the command reported.

Shelton, a 1976 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, noted that he has been "in and out of Air Force Space Command since 1986." He has been the assistant vice chief of staff and the director of the air staff at the Pentagon.
