China and other nations in a regional bloc need to help stabilize Afghanistan, says China's president, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
"We will persevere in managing regional affairs by ourselves, guard against turbulence and shocks from outside the region, and play a bigger role in Afghanistan's restoration of peace," said Hu Jintao in an interview with the Chinese People's Daily on Wednesday.
