In Series Of Tests, Latest Aegis System Downs 4 Targets

The newest version of the Aegis combat system has gone four for four during a week of tests aboard the destroyer John Paul Jones (DDG-53), reports Lockheed Martin.
The Aegis Baseline 9.C1 configuration also includes the most advanced version of the ballistic missile defense program, known as BMD 5.0 CU.
Last week's successful multi-mission warfare tests were designed to verify the performance of the recent BMD upgrades.
