Acting Defense Minister Jaak Aaviksoo has named a new chief of the Estonian navy, reports Estonian Public Radio.
Cmdr. Sten Sepper will replace Capt. Igor Schvede, who will continue to serve in the defense force headquarters after completing a course in the United States.
Sepper is now a lecturer on naval operations at the Baltic Defense College. He previously commanded several vessels, the Estonian minesweeper's division and the joint Baltic Squadron (BALTRON).
