Separatists in southern Yemen have taken over two military bases following another round of fighting with government troops, reports Reuters.
Early Tuesday, fighters from the Southern Transitional Council (STC) overran bases in Zinjibar, 38 miles (60 km) east of Aden, the temporary capital, said residents.
One of the bases hosted special operations personnel, officials told Agence France-Presse.
