Separatists, Government Give Conflicting Reports Of Damaged Oil Pipeline

Arab separatists in Iran claim to have blown up two oil pipelines in the country's west on Jan. 3, reports Reuters.

The Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of al-Ahwaz announced on its website that its armed wing had made the attacks near the town of Omidiyeh and the port of Deylem.

The first reportedly hit the state-owned Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company's "Maroun" pipeline. The second was said to target pipeline from the Baharkan oilfield to Kharg Island, said...
