The British Special Air Service is releasing dozens of its elite personnel as part of overall budget-cutting efforts, reports the Independent (U.K.).
The cuts followed a decision by the Defense Ministry to end the practice of "continuance," which allows special operations troops to serve up to the age of 45, five years longer than regular soldiers.
