Prosecutors from the Baltic Fleet in the Russian navy have charged a senior officer with corruption, reports Interfax-AVN.
Maj. Gen. Nikolai Artamonov, the chief of ground and coastal troops for the Baltic Fleet, has been accused of extorting from subordinates.
The general illicitly received more than US$4,300, nearly half of which was spent on personal items, charged prosecutors.
