The deputy governor of Kandahar province in southern Afghanistan was killed Saturday by a suicide bomber, reports the McClatchy News Service.
A man on a motorbike packed with explosives rammed the car of Abdul Latif Ashna as he was on his way to work, officials said. Three other people were reportedly injured in the explosion.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
