Senate Confirms Barbara Barret As Next Air Force Secretary

The Senate has confirmed Barbara Barret to serve as secretary of the Air Force, reports the Air Force News Service.
On Wednesday, the Senate voted 85 to 7 to confirm Barret for the post.
She is the 25th Secretary of the Air Force and the third consecutive woman to hold the job.
The vote had been delayed by a hold placed by Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) over recent reports about Air Force personnel staying at a property owned by President Trump in Scotland.
