Self-Propelled Howitzers Deployed To Tibet

China has deployed vehicle-mounted howitzers to Tibet, near the Indian border, reports the Press Trust of India. 

The deployment of the PLC-181 truck-mounted howitzer is intended to improve the high-altitude combat capabilities of forces in the region and enhance border security, reported the official Global Times (China).

The vehicle-mounted 52-caliber howitzer has an estimated range of 32 miles (50 km). It can employ laser-guided and satellite-guided munitions, analysts said,
