The Swedish government has announced a proposed a defense budget increase of US$334 million for 2018, reports the Swedish Ministry of Defense.
The budget includes US$289 million for military defense and US$50 million for civil defense, the ministry said on Wednesday.
The main Swedish political parties in August agreed to spend an extra US$334 million on defense annually from 2018.
