Security Tightened After Nationwide Terror Alert

India's Home Ministry has issued a nationwide alert after receiving intelligence reports of possible terrorist attacks by a Pakistani Islamist group, Deutsche Presse-Agentur reports.
There were credible reports that the Pakistan-based Islamist group Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) may be planning several attacks over the New Year weekend, officials said.
