Security Forces Take On Maoists In Orissa State

Indian security forces say they have killed five Maoist insurgents in a six-hour gun battle, United Press International reports.
The firefight took place Sunday in a forest in eastern India's Orissa state. Four of those killed were women, reported the Indian Express.
There were no government casualties reported.
Weapons, ammunition, Maoist posters and pamphlets were recovered, said security forces.
