Opposition activists say six Syrian soldiers have been killed during fighting with rebels in the country's east, reports Bloomberg News.
Clashes were reported Monday in the oil-producing region of Deir Al-Zour by the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Four other security personnel died when an explosive device hit their vehicle in Idlib in the north, the group said.
