Security Forces Hit PKK Group Said To Be Plotting Attack

At least two people have been killed during a raid by Turkish security forces on a suspected group of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants, reports Today's Zaman (Turkey).
Friday's operation in the southeastern Hakkari province targeted a group of PKK fighters suspected of planning to detonate a land mine along a highway, said government authorities.
One soldier and one PKK fighter were killed in the fighting, said Turkish officials.
