Indian security forces have been testing the Micro Air Vehicle (MAV), made by U.S.-based Honeywell, to determine its suitability for operations against Maoist militants, reports the Press Trust of India.
The night trials, held this week at the Counterterrorism and Jungle Warfare College in Chhattisgarh, focused on the air vehicle's performance at different temperatures, altitudes and its ability to detect land mines, officials said.
