The Army’s new security force assistance brigades (SFAB) have changed how they operate following their initial deployment to Afghanistan, reports Defense News.
In that mission, an entire SFAB, around 800 troops, deployed to Afghanistan.
Instead, the SFABs now send small, regionally aligned teams to different parts of the world, said Maj. Gen. Scott Jackson, head of Security Force Assistance Command.
