An Afghan and international security force carried out searches in the Saydabad district of Wardak province on Wednesday while pursuing local Taliban commanders, NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) reports.
One searched compound, near the village of Belangash, was used by a Taliban commander thought to be responsible for facilitating improvised explosive device (IED) attacks, said ISAF officials.
