U.S. and Japanese naval forces are still looking in the South China Sea for a missing U.S. sailor, officials said on Wednesday.
The U.S. Navy sailor was noted missing Tuesday during a joint exercise, reports the Stars and Stripes.
The unidentified sailor was reported missing, presumed overboard, from the guided-missile destroyer USS Stethem about 9 a.m., local time, said a statement from the Navy’s 7th Fleet.
