Sealift Vessel Launched In Indonesian Shipyard

A new sealift vessel for the Philippine navy was launched on Monday at the PT PAL Indonesia shipyard in Surabaya, East Java, reports the Jakarta Post.
The strategic sealift vessel (SSV-1), Tarlac, is one of two landing platform docks being built by PT PAL for the Philippines under a US$90 million deal, according to Antara, Indonesia's national news agency.
The Tarlac will be the first naval vessel exported by Indonesia's domestic shipbuilding industry, officials said.
